Mar Giralt
Mar Giralt joined the ERC HamInstab research team in September 2018 to begin her PhD studies under the supervision of Marcel Guardia and Immaculada Baldomà in the Dynamical Systems group of the Department of Mathematics of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Her studies are focused on the exponentially small splitting of separatrices phenomenon in Celestial Mechanics.
She has previously collaborated with the department by doing her master’s thesis under the supervision of Tere M-Seara and Marcel Guardia on the study of chaotic dynamics in a celestial mechanics model.
Her main research interests are Hamiltonian Systems, Splitting of Separatrices and Celestial Mechanics.
Jaime Paradela
Paradela joined the ERC HamInstab reseacrh team in September 2019 to begin his PhD studies under the supervision of Marcel Guardia and Tere M-Seara in the Dynamical Systems group of the Department of Mathematics of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
His main research interests are geometric methods in the theory of dynamical systems, in particular KAM theory and Arnold diffusion in Hamiltonian Systems.
José Lamas Rodríguez
He started his PhD studies under the supervision of Marcel Guardia and Tere M-Seara in the Dynamical Systems group of the Department of Mathematics of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in January 2021 and will be focusing on collision dynamics in Celestial Mechanics.
Lamas had previously collaborated with the department by doing his masters thesis under the supervision of Guardia and Seara on the study of collision dynamics in a celestial mechanics model.
